Born in Hammond, Indiana, James L. Wieser is a lifelong resident of Lake County. He's a 1965 graduate of Bishop Noll Institute, a 1969 graduate of John Carroll University, and a 1972 graduate of Valparaiso University School of Law. James has been a practicing law in Lake County for 40 years and is currently the senior partner at Wieser & Wyllie, LLP. He concentrates his practice in the areas of municipal law and real estate development law, with an emphasis on planning and zoning issues. Previous to Wieser & Wyllie, James served in roles including but not limited to: Lake County Councilman, County Council President, Town Attorney of Highland, and Member of the Board of Directors of Peoples Bank.
Attorney Randy H. Wyllie was born and raised in Merrillville, Indiana and is a lifelong resident of Lake County. He is a 1986 graduate of Merrillville High School, a 1990 graduate of Indiana University, and a 1993 graduate of Valparaiso University School of Law. Attorney Wyllie has previously served in roles including but not limited to: Schererville's Police Commissioner and legal counsel for the town's Board of Safety, and Public Defender in the Lake Superior Court County Division. He currently serves as legal counsel to the Lake County Auditor and has done so since 2005. In November 2019, Attorney Wyllie was elected to serve as Judge of the Schererville Town Court. Mr. Wyllie is married to his wife, a fellow graduate of Merrillville High School and a registered nurse. Mr. Wyllie has one adult son, who is a graduate of Mount Carmel High School, All-Male College Prep in Chicago, Illinois, Butler University in Indianapolis and Valparaiso University School of Law. He is employed with William Morris Endeavor talent agency in Beverly Hills, California.
